Brian Ferrie
A graduate of Computing Science (BSc Hons) from Strathclyde University, Brian has over 10 years experience in software testing, including 5 years experience as a testing practitioner working across sectors such as banking, general finance, government and utilities.
Prior to co-founding Edge Testing Solutions, Brian was instrumental in the success and growth of the testing business within a large independent IT services company. There he had 5 years experience in senior management positions including the role as Head of Testing.
Brian’s strong business acumen ensures that software testing is viewed with a focus on benefits realisation and how testing can influence improvements across the software development lifecycle. He is an enthusiastic and motivated presenter of these solutions across areas such as requirements testing, risk-based testing, automation and performance testing. He was also one of the first consultants in the UK to achieve the Certified Product Instructor accreditation in the HP (formerly Mercury) testing products.
Susan Chadwick
In a career spanning 26 years, co-founder Susan has graduated from the business into IT, and specifically software testing with extensive experience as both a practitioner and senior manager within sectors including finance, government and utilities.
Susan built and developed the testing business within within a large IT services company, starting in 1998, and in her last two years there had responsibility for all services for geographic and then sector focused divisions. She held a number of senior management positions including Head of Testing and two at director level.
Susan’s business background ensures that software testing has a clear business benefits focus and she has been instrumental in raising the profile in the area of testing thought leadership coupled with pragmatism and strong underlying testing practices.
Susan’s attributes also include a focused, pragmatic approach to testing, strong business acumen and highly developed analytical skills.
