Susan Chadwick Co Founder
In a career spanning 30 years, Susan has become known for her focused, pragmatic approach to testing, strong business acumen and highly developed analytical skills.
As co-founder of Edge Testing Solutions, Susan draws on extensive experience as both a practitioner and senior manager within sectors including finance, government and utilities. A leading figure in the industry, she established and developed the testing business within Sopra, formerly Newell and Budge.
In July 2009, Susan's reputation for exceptional leadership was cemented through her appointment to the board of ScotlandIS, She is passionate about the importance of testing early and she has been instrumental in educating the market via influential thought leadership coupled with pragmatism and strong testing practices.
Susan's business background and time spent in senior management and director level positions ensures that Edge Testing focuses on helping its clients to achieve defined business objectives.
Brian Ferrie Co Founder
With more than a decade's experience at consultant and management level, Brian is a professional, delivery-focused test practitioner. Co-founder of Edge Testing Solutions, he is well-respected within the software testing community and known for his drive, enthusiasm and innovative approach.
Brian understands the importance of assessing the business context of every project and blending consultancy, test management, training and quality assurance to create end-to-end solutions. He has delivered projects on a range of development platforms for UK and global organisations, from strategy through to implementation.
Passionate about the development of software testing as a discipline, Brian is a driving force behind STING, the Scottish Testing and Improvement Networking Group.
A graduate of Computing Science from Strathclyde University, Brian was also one of the first consultants in the UK to achieve the Certified Product Instructor accreditation in the HP (formerly Mercury) testing products.
